As technology and economy are advancing by leaps and bounds, people have no alternative but to（不得不） be plagued with（受到—的困扰） an increasing level of noise around them. Hence, it is imperative that we should analyze possible reasons giving rise to this phenomenon objectively and figure out effective remedies.

From my own perspective, the causes of this phenomenon are manifold. For one thing, with the sweeping trend(风靡的趋势) of urbanization, the government in increasing number encourage more citizens to move into the city, which has triggered the construction of numerous high-rise buildings, along with constantly annoying noise. Meanwhile, economic prosperity equips countless people with private cars. When they are blessed with（有幸拥有） great convenience in daily transport, they are forced to tolerate unbearable noise.

For another, with the fast development of technology, a wide variety of electronic devices and electrical appliances have gained in popularity in people’s daily life, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions and computers, which unavoidably generate different levels of noise. Not to mention that people’s overdependence on mobile phones for communication and relaxation will also create large noise, even in the place where quietness is required such as libraries and hospitals.

To crack this hard nut, some effective and feasible measures should be adopted without any delay. To be specific, some laws and rules should be issued to restrict the noise, such as regulating the proper time of work on building sites and prohibiting the use of cell phones in some public places. In addition, the government ought to enhance overall awareness of the public towards noise reduction by publicity and education. Only in these ways will the negative influences brought about by noise be diminished to the least extent.
